DNAx® Nitrox Fundamentals
Produces any blend of nitrox from 21% to 40% 02. DNAx® Nitrox is produced by removing nitrogen from air instead of enriching standard air with hazardous high pressure 02.

DNAx® Nitrox uses a standard oil lubricated compressor along with standard Grade E air, eliminating the need for 02 cleaned equipment.

User benefits of DNAx® Nitrox are:

  • Increased bottom time an shorter surface intervals.
  • Elimination of diver fatigue.
  • Built-in safety margins diving on standard air tables.
  • No 02 cleaning of equipment.
  • Accurate fills while you wait.

Rebreathers work by recycling and refreshing the diver's exhaust air to dramatically extend bottom time.

Other benefits of rebreathers to the diver are

  • Breathing nitrox.
  • Less heat and moisture loss, resulting in a significant reduction of decompression sickness. Open circuit scuba relies on cold, very dry tank air, resulting in a significant moisture and heat loss to the body core (up to 15% of heat loss while diving). Since rebreathers use the moist air that has been exhaled, dry mouth is gone. Also the CO2 absorbent releases heat during the dive, warming the breathing gas. The diver experiences a more comfortable dive with less dehydration and heat loss.
  • Optimization of decompression profiles by constantly adjusting the breathing mix to give the most oxygen and the least bends-inducing nitrogen without risking toxicity from too much oxygen.
  • Extended duration of gas supply. By recycling the gas supply and using all of the available oxygen instead of dumping most of it out with each exhalation, a diver's gas lasts longer.
  • Extended no-decompression times. Combined with increased gas supply, scientists and working divers can extend the range of their explorations and the number of productive hours in a workday.
  • Reduction of the size and weight of equipment.
