Warning!
Do not use these pressure vessels for air storage!

These cylinders have been used in the scuba industry for some time, sometimes sold by unscrupulous vendors who grind off the 2200PSI operating pressures stamps leaving only the 4200PSI test pressure stamp. This falsely indicates the tank is good for 4200PSI.

These cylinders are pressure vessels from scrapped torpedoes. It appears that someone purchased these items as military surplus and stamped them WP 3300.

These are not actual air storage cylinders, but tubes with end caps that were built as a part of a torpedo assembly. These items were designed for a single use and were seldom used a second time. When in new condition these containers were not pressurized until shortly before launching to minimize unnecessary risk.

WARNING: These are extremely dangerous units and should not be used for high pressure air storage. If you have knowledge of these cylinders in use at any dive operation, inform the operator of the extreme risk in using these cylinders and leave the area immediately.

It is our understanding that these torpedo parts were being used as air storage banks by Parrot's Landing and are responsible for the devastating explosion that occurred there.
